potty update
So for those of you out there who even care, or read this for that matter the potty training is going really well...The kids and I have been locked in the house since last Sunday and it is now Friday. Leah has run around all week with her pants off and is doing a great job. I am so proud of her. Tomorrow we are going to a birthday party and it will be the first time out of the house with no diaper, wish me luck... I will be bringing several backup pants with us in case of accidents oh and a potty too of course. She will probably have to go before we even get off the mountain. Thank you to those of you who have offered advice and well wishes I have needed them. Tina has been my go to pro for all potty training advice and i really want to thank her for that, she is an amazing mom and the most patient person i have ever met, truly...

The Potty
So yesterday marked the first day of potty training for Leah. This is my toughest obstacle so far. It truly takes the patients of a saint, which I am not. I sat in the bathroom for 1/2 hour yesterday only to have her get off the potty and pee on the floor, great...Today she woke up and didn't want to have anything to do with it, but I did and so i persevered and won the battle. so far that is...so if anyone reading this has any great tips or secrets please let the first timer in on it!

For the birds
I happen to be an avid bird watcher, from my window that is...this is a picture i took of myself feeding the birds. In the winter for the most part they are chickadee's and nuthatches. If i am patient they will land in my hand and take food. this is a very cool feeling to have a wild bird land in your hands, only in the wilderness...and yes it is still snowing!

Did I mention snow?
So it's been snowing here for about a week. It's bad when you can't remember what day it is anymore and all you can see and think about is snow and snow removal. I have even started to have dreams about moving snow in the snowcat. now that's pretty bad...The first storm brought about 6-7 feet, and the second brought about 2 feet, and the third is approaching. Do you get where I'm going here. We have a shit load of snow here and that is no exaggeration. Here are some of the pictures that i took from the snowcat of our road, notice it doesn't even look like there ever was a road there well believe me there is or was i mean.
