The Potty

So yesterday marked the first day of potty training for Leah. This is my toughest obstacle so far. It truly takes the patients of a saint, which I am not. I sat in the bathroom for 1/2 hour yesterday only to have her get off the potty and pee on the floor, great...Today she woke up and didn't want to have anything to do with it, but I did and so i persevered and won the battle. so far that is...so if anyone reading this has any great tips or secrets please let the first timer in on it!

PEE PEE on the (paw - tay) and you have to shake your bum bum. Singing that is what worked for ali cat. I swear. people in the public restrooms had to of thought I was crazy. but after doing it to a couple of days being so excited, as she was sitting, she would sing it to . also while i was on. but i always had her come with me and cheer me on so she got so excited when mommie went potty. We made it so fun.
When your at the store have her pick out a her favorite character underwear and tell her if she sits on the potty for you when ever you ask her to she can have her new underwear. (you have to take her potty like every hour or hr. 1/5 or read body langage until she lets you know. when she needs to go.
Another thing that has done wonders is the weekly princess chart.:) she adds stickers when she does certain things. the stage we are at now (she just turned 4) is not going pee in her bed... She is doing great. i can't remember the last accident. she wakes up in the morning yelling mommie i didn't pee and she runs to put a sticker on that spot. :) when she fills up the chart... we go a shopping or do a special something together that she chooses.
